Upon hearing of our Flat Stanley project, Carlynton Speech & Language Pathologist, Mrs. Uhrin, suggested a friend of hers from high school to be a recipient. Mrs. Uhrin's friend, Dee, works for Viacom with their Special Events. This means that Dee gets to go to awesome events with famous people!
Dee took Stanley on a tour of New York City, where her office is located. She is with the MTV & Nickelodeon Studios! He had a great time traveling through the hustle & bustle of New York City. He had even more fun at Nickelodeon Studios & getting to see many of the mascots of some of his favorite TV shows! Do you recognize any?
Sadly, Stanley missed his chance to go to the Kids Choice Awards, HOWEVER! He did get to go to Los Angeles for the MTV Movie Awards!!!! How cool is that?!?! Stanley stopped by at the Sony Picture Studios, which is where they film "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy", along with other television shows & dramas.
Stanley got to walk down the Red Carpet! What a celebrity he has become!!
Stanley was so excited to see Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. on the Red Carpet. Who is that you ask? You probably know him as Snoop Dogg!
Before the night was over, Stanley accepted his MTV Movie Award with great excitement. Oh - wait - that's not his? It's too big for him to carry home anyways!!
Before leaving LA, Stanley had to stop by the original Ghost Buster's car for a photo shoot. Can you see him there on the windshield & then in the driver's seat?
Thank you, Dee, for showing Stanley such a wonderful time! He could really get used to life in the fast lane and the star-studded treatment!
Flat Stanley got to go with Mrs. Merglowski to Disney World! They had a great time! Stanley got to go to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Cinderella's castle, the Tower of Terror, Lego World, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves, and even more! Here are the pictures Mrs. Merglowski shared with Team Lewis!

Flat Stanley got to go on another trip with the Henke family. They went to Purdue for a college visit for Meg's older brother, Jeff. While there, they stopped at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana.

Here, Mr. Henke & Colin took Stanley to the Media Center. Maybe they were having a press conference to introduce the newest race car driver?
Here, is Stanley with Dan Wheldon's car that won the Indy 500 in 2011. It was the 100th anniversary of the race that year. Unfortunately, while driving in another race in Las Vegas, in October, Mr. Wheldon was involved in a 15 car accident, ultimately resulting in his death.
Stanley got to enjoy homemade root beer at the Triple XXX root beer parlor near Purdue's campus!
Thanks to the Henkes for taking Stanley on another road trip! He had a great time!
