West Palm Beach Florida

Flat Stanley headed south for the winter, literally.  He traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida to visit with Carlynton Alum Stephen Trbovich (2001).  Stephen is a marine biologist and graciously agreed to take Flat Stanley on a dive!

Here is the first look at Stanley 90 feet under water.  His laminated dive gear sadly wasn't rated for that deep of a dive!  His snorkel & mask began to 'run'.

Stanley got to see a sunken ship.  This is the hull of the Mizpah.  The boat is 185 feet long!

Stanley got to see a Giant Horse Conch!  It was bigger than him!

Stanley was extremely excited to see the juvenile (young) Hawskbill Turtle

Can you find the hidden animal?  Stanley could!

Sadly, this is the last known picture of Stanley.  Stanley swam off with the Atlantic Ocean current.  He may arrive in Europe in a few months?

This is not a glob of chocolate chip cookie dough on the bottom of the ocean, but rather a Sea Cucumber!  How neat?

Stephen enjoyed seeing the beautiful dolphins, he decided he was going to swim with them!

Thank you for taking Flat Stanley on a dive of a life time!  We are sure he had a great time -- wherever he is!  Maybe he is somewhere swimming with the dolphins?
